Abby was diagnosed with a genetic form of Acute Myeloid Leukemia and what followed was an incredibly difficult beginning. She required multiple blood transfusions as she was losing blood faster than it could be replaced. Multiple medical specialists worked urgently together, navigating procedures and complex decisions to build a treatment plan for her survival.
Abby went on to endure four intensive rounds of chemotherapy, each requiring a month-long hospital stay. It felt like a long and exhausting journey — but through every challenge, Abby showed unwavering bravery, strength, and grace beyond her years.
Since celebrating remission in September 2024, Abby has been thriving. She is looking ahead to a future full of possibilities. Inspired by her journey, Abby has considered pursuing a career in the medical field. At the same time, she has discovered a true passion for cooking. Abby creates meals for her family, experimenting with recipes, and crafting her own culinary masterpieces.
